Creekside Farm is located on 35 rolling
acres, providing views of the surrounding countryside from several
points on the farm. The terrain includes woods, hayfields, grass
pastures, and a natural wildlife area. And, yes, there really is
a creek running along through the property!
Our indoor arena is a spacious 70 x 170 and features Fibar
footing. A 100x200 sand arena with pipe fencing was installed in
2006. Boarders are very welcome to ride on the majority of the property,
giving both you and your horse good opportunity to enjoy a relaxing
hack. Through an agreement with a neighboring farm we now have access
to trails that are very enjoyable to ride on also.
Horses are turned out every day, as weather
permits. In inclement weather, every effort will be made to provide
limited turnout time in the indoor arena. All paddock fencing is
ElectroBraid and is very
equine friendly. Turnout paddocks are approximately 80 x 80 size.
Turnout groups are kept small and are gender based.
Lester Buildings assisted
us with the design for our stable and indoor arena building, ensuring
that there is excellent ventilation and light. The stall barn features
a cathedral-like ceiling,
giving an very open feeling to the barn.
Our regular board is $245 and includes: grain
twice daily and hay four times daily; daily stall cleaning; halter
and blanket removal service; daily turnout; and full use of facility.
Other services may be negotiated with management for an additonal
charge.
All horses must have proof of current negative
Coggins and be up to date on all recommended vaccinations, including
West Nile and Strangles. Regularly scheduled paste worming can be
done either by the owner, providing proof to management, or by the
management for a small fee. Farrier service is available on a scheduled
basis through Don Smith Farrier Service. Veterinary services are
available through Cardinal Veterinary located in Columbus.
Overnight or short stay horses are accepted
as stall space permits. The charge is $25 per night and includes
bedding, hay, and grain. All horses must have proof of current negative
Coggins and be up to date on all recommended vaccinations, including
West Nile and Strangles.
